Following Your Passions Will Bring You Joy-zngay

Motivation Patrick Combs is a comedic entertainer, inspirational speaker, and the best-selling author of Major in Success. To him, passion, gifts and joy are inseparable. To go on and on for years doing something you don’t truly enjoy will make you sick. Following your passions will bring you pure joy. So, how has Patrick Combs had so many successes throughout his life? He did them one at a time. When you try to put too many irons in the fire, the fire will die. Take your passions one step at a time, and use each one as a building block for the next. Don’t be afraid. You have to have faith in yourself. People who are afraid something bad will happen before having proof of it are living in fear. Having faith means the opposite. HOPE for something before having proof of it. Have faith in your passions and take one step at a time toward them. Taking those baby steps toward your passions is easier said than done, though. Patrick Combs has had a lot of "shoulds" in his life just as the rest of us do. We all know how it feels when you "should" be doing this but you’d really rather be doing that. Taking steps means prioritizing your shoulds. This week, drop one of the non-essential things from your to-do list and replace it with something you’d rather be doing. Next week, replace another one. Soon your life will be full of things you love so that your "shoulds" don’t take up your entire day. Ok, so maybe prioritizing your "shoulds" is a little easier said than done. Patrick Combs once felt that way as well. We all know what it’s like to have hardships and doubts, hurdles and insecurities. To be unstoppable, you have to get past all that. One of the ways Patrick Combs coaches people through their insecurities is to have them "sleep on it". After a bad day when everyone has told you how awful you performed a task or how crazy your ideas are, you feel like you want to quit. Sleep is transformational! When you wake up, if you still feel like quitting, it’s ok to quit. If you feel like you want to go on, it’s a sign that your passions are strong enough to overcome obstacles. Keep a journal. It sounds simple, but Patrick Combs used a journal to get through his insecurity before becoming a successful comedic entertainer. Of course you’re not going to want to write down the negative comments people make about your efforts. You should write down the things you want to remember and dwell on. Read them everyday. Use them to boost your confidence, and don’t give up. If you want to live life with passion, live today passionately. If you’re going to be successful, you’ll have to go through a daily roller coaster ride. Patrick Combs rode it each day as well. It took three long years of mental roller coasters to become a successful comedian. About the Author: 相关的主题文章:
