Make Your Own Necklace Charms-ca1477

UnCategorized Wearing a charm bracelet or necklace is a terrific way to show off your personality and unique aspects of your life. Buying the charms, however, isn’t always so terrific: they can be expensive, and there’s the chance that someone else will have the same charm you do. Luckily, there’s a solution to this dilemma. You can make your own charms! The cost is relatively low, and you’re guaranteed to have a completely original piece of jewelry. You can make your own charms out of clay, photos, coins, and articles around your house. Air-dry clay makes great necklace charms. You can flatten the clay into a small disc and write a message or name on it with a toothpick. Or you can form the clay into a shape, maybe a star, a globe, a shoe, etc. Be careful not to make too many tiny details (like actual laces on the shoe); they could snap off. Before you let the clay dry, poke a hole through the top so it can be strung on your bracelet or necklace. After it’s dry, you can put it directly on your necklace, or you can paint it or apply a finish for more color and/or shine. Another way to create fun and personal charms is to cut out pictures of your family and friends. You can place the photos inside blank charm frames that you can purchase from the craft store. Of course, you can use pictures of whatever you’d like: favorite celebrities, a symbol of a goal (i.e. the Eiffel Tower if you want to go to France), most-loved foods, and so on. If you want an antique or vintage look, you can use old coins as charms. Coins that come from other countries are also cool, especially if you have a connection to that country. Coins that have been flattened by railroad cars or that have been pressed and stamped at a theme park or museum are great additions too. Use a hammer and nail to poke a hole in the top of the coin. You can even engrave names onto the coins if you have the tools. Finally, don’t overlook items you have in your house, particularly your jewelry box. Charms from other necklaces, like lockets, are perfect–and free! You can even use small keys (i.e. to suitcase locks) and birthstones. Ultimately, the more unique you make your charm bracelet, the better! Use your imagination, and have fun! About the Author: 相关的主题文章:
